I should probably start off by doing a quick followup regarding my last blog, but honestly the people bitching don't deserve a response. I posted a quick disclaimer that evidentally no one read. So let me reiterate:
What I post up here are BLOGS, not factual content, not editorial content, BLOGS. They are of my opinion and of my opinion only. They don't represent the opinion of Defsounds.com as a whole and are meant to either invoke thought or entertain. Do I really need to post up the retard heat map again? Must I continue to reiterate that anything posted in blogs should be taken with a grain of salt?
Now, I understand if you're new to the site--you get a pass--but if you're a regular then wtf is wrong with you? Furthermore, what is it with the first shit? I thought we got rid of that with the trash system, you know if you post it you're gonna get trashed or even banned and yet you still do it?..Ya niggas need e-helmets.

Now that I'm done ranting, I'm actually not posting anything exciting today. Instead just wanted to show some love (nomo) to the folks over @ Datpiff.com. They have Dj Lennox and Nino Bless doing weekly podcasts, I haven't heard this weeks myself but I keep hearing Budden dissed someone or Crooked I dissed someone in it. They interview both in the latter part of the show so check it out.
Also, I've launched a personal blog of mine since I can't post random shit on Defsounds and have to keep it more or less music related--I decided this was the next best thing. That's understandable, we keep our ads out of the way for the most part...I'd say we run one of the more ad-free sites from whats out there.
Nothing wrong with advertising, bills must be paid. The only one's I have(had) an issue with is the soap opera ish that pops up blocking what I'm reading and returns when I X it and the annoying Maury one(haven't seen it lately) that filled the screen. Seemed like just running your cursor over it activated a pop uu. It is what it is though, nothing that will prevent me from leaving my oversized posts all over the place. ~oUt~

The Soap opera add pops up automatically, and returns when closed. If you move your screen down, it dissappears though. No worries.

I am the one who posted that comment earlier, and I did it because I don't personally believe that KFC should be on the top of a Hip Hop site's homepage, and especially a reputable one, because that makes you and the people who post on here look like a joke.
Also, the main point of what I said earlier was aimed at the people replying to the Oasis vs. Jay-Z blog earlier. A lot of people obviously don't understand that that was FICTIONAL CONTENT, especially when there are several comments in a row of people saying "Jay is gonna kill them." The basic point is is that no one listens to music anymore to the point where they can talk shit about it cross-genre. A lot of these bloggers that actually REPLY on Defsounds obviously only listen to Hip Hop, so when you post a blog that involves a personality such as Noel Gallagher, you have to spoonfeed this shit to them, so they can understand what you're talking about, and understand that it's a joke, because the dumbest thing to do to yourself is to take a joke seriously, especially one like this. All I'm saying is educate yourself in music people. And for the record, I am not exactly a Hip Hop head, nor do I listen to all music, but I understand basic shit like who the fuck Oasis is, and I don't take the bait when I see the word "Beef" thrown around either. I don't believe that Defsounds is an ignorant website, in fact, this is the first place I go for what's new in Hip Hop, I just think the Maury and KFC thing was not a well thought out decision.

Does anyone understand thew concept of demographics? Demographics are certain categories that advertisers classify people in: age, race, gender, income, residence, ect. Advertisers use these demographics to target certain audiences. It's safe to say that the majority of Defsounds members are males between the ages of 15 (plies goat and 413 josh) to 25 (me...damn i'm gettin old).
Anyways, I would hope that the advertisers did some decent market research and concluded that certain ads for certain products would appeal more to us Defsounds users than some other ads. I can understand KFC, cuz face it, fried chicken is fuckin good regardless of race. But I don't understand the reasoning behind the Maury and Guiding Light ads because the main viewers of those shows are females who watch daytime TV. I doubt anyone on Defsounds started watching Maury or soap operas as a result of those banner ads, but who cares as long as the advertisers are payin for this site.
