Reading the comments I realized one thing, a large portion of hip hop listeners have anger management problems when it comes to their favorite rapper.
Take for example the case of one little stan by the name of Masta Ace. Mister Ace says I wasted my time writing that blog and that he will find me and "kick my ass." Now, all I did was point out the obvious with Prodigy..who obviously is his baby's moms, and this guy is acting like I went in his house, punched his mom then peed on her for about half an hour while reciting the lyrics to Jay Z's Takeover.
Then someone posted this little gem: "He has a blog, you just wrote a blog. So what he types in caps? Maybe its so people will actually READ it instead of just skipping through it."
I wrote a blog...cause...that's...what...I ..get ..paid..to do..and WHEN the fuck did people become so retarded that you can only keep their attention by typing in all caps?
Anyways, moving on, why are you hip hop fans so defensive of your favorite rappers? Why is it that you feel the need to protect the honor of a person whom you only know through lyrics that might not even--and most of the time aren't their own?
The level stans go to defend their favorite rappers varies though...so here's my list of top five worst stans on the internet. FIRST!
#. 5 Dipset Stans: Even today, when it's evident that Dipset has in fact fallen off, their fans will still hack in to your myspace page and make everything on it say "Cam ron's my leader."
#4. Tupac/Biggie Stans: These two were grouped at #4 cause they're both equally as annoying. One side claims their favorite rapper was the gangstarest of gangstas even though he started out as a back up dancer like J Lo, while the other side claims their favorite rapper was the greatest to ever do it, even though the lyrical content in his catalog is as diverse as a Klan meeting.
#3. Nas Stans: Now these fans are bad--but not the worst because Nas does have some classic material. However, if you ever hear one of them say "Nas finished Jay Z" well..then..punch em in the face. Cause, alls I'm saying is...Jigga man about to be a billionaire...and Nas ..well..watch the video:
#2. 50 Cent Stans: These folks still deny that Kanye West beat 50 Cent on the 9/11 showdown...after all the numbers came in, after everything was put on the table, they still make excuses for Curtis. Not only that, but they think Magic Stick part 2 was actually a good track, well, they think anything Curtis does is gold---most of em even like Tony Yayo.
Oh, they'll also threaten you and your siblings for calling 50 Boo Boo.
#1. Lil Wayne Stans: No surprise here..the most annoying breed of stans to ever plague hip hop. They will make sense of anything Weezy might say. Example, when Weezy said he'll kill your mother and your sisters and your entire family if you beefed with him, they called him a gangsta. Now listen here, lets keep it 100, Weezy might put out good music, but we all know 99% of the shit he raps about and says he's done is all made up in a syrup souped head of his.
Honorable mentions go to Game Stans and Kanye Stans.

I Respect your point and and yes I am a fan not a stan. what makes me a fan of someone in any field including hiphop is the fact that the person does it in it's clearest form. Nas is Hiphop, He is HipHop at it's finest. If you ever hear a fan of Nas say "Nas finished Jay Z" well I can almost 100% agree with you that They are talkin of the battle not about whatever you have in mind. And we can both agree that Ether was the shiit, something like better than any diss track recorded and released by Jay-Z..[I'm also a fan of Jay-z] As a matter fact me one of Jay's best friend from Rocafella Rcrd have argued numerous amount of time about this very same topic...But now he does agree with me about the battle as a whole, I think he was so close to Jay, It became almost natural for him to disagree that Ether wa a better track than The Takeover.
Another point I think I ought of point out is the the video and your meaningless, and completely unnecessary and also a little immature response to it. It's plain dumb Jay being richer than Nas does not validate any of your points for that matter, It doesn't prove that Jay won the lyrical battle at all cause deep down even if u happen to be a jay stan u know that this battle was not Jay's. He told vivid stories. And he talked about the bad part of the game as well as the good part. And the listener always had good time while he was doing it.
