Pow!..I'm back..I told ya'll once I get my hands on GTA 4 I was going to disappear--and that I did. For those of you who haven't gotten it yet, it's definitely worth some playtime. Alot of reviewers gave the game a perfect 10 and though it IS a great game..it's still lacks in certain areas. One thing that had alot of people hyped up was the fact that it's set in NYC--and let me tell you, playing the game--it doesn't feel much like NYC. Instead Rockstar just expanded the original Liberty City from GTA 3 and added some familiar NYC regions like Time Square and parts of the boroughs.
Another thing that stood out was the sound track.They did an absolutely amazing job on the radio stations specially the Hip Hop and Reggaeton stations. Props go out to Dj Green Lantern who produced a segment for the hip hop station and put on his roster in a historical game. Uncle Murda, Papoose, & Qadir all made the game--that's something not many artist can say they've done in their careers.
One of the best tracks from GTA has to be Qadir-"Nickname" produced by GreenLantern. If this shit hadn't been made for the game specifically it could've been a summer hood anthem. Shit...we can still make that happen..spread this track..its a banger.
Speaking of Papoose..someone PLEASE answer the following questions for me:
When is gonna drop?
When will he stop sounding the same in every track?
When will he stop putting out shitty freestyles about his thugnificence like the Rider part 2 freestyle?
When will he actually make a GOOD song?
Why is it that all his freestyles sound like they're recorded in his grandmother's basement using a cheap mic and protools?
This isn't me hating on Papoose...this is just me looking for some answers, he has a following but that's slowly dying.
Alright, to sign off--let me add another track that I've been playing the shit out of. Young Jeezy and Kanye- Put On...DAMN..where did that track come from?..Even though the voicebox shit is more worn out than Skull T's and Tight pants (Harlem!)..Both Kanye and Jeezy murked that track (..Im bringing "murk" back...we need to start reviving good slang and eliminate the gay shit we have goin on now).
Oh and one more thing, did everyone catch Nelly, Cons, and Murphy Lee absolutely destroying the booth on rap city? Maybe I've been sleeping on Nelly (nomo...nomo= No homo)

Yea GTA 4 soundtrack is bangin. But I listen to damn near all the stations not just "The Beat" (hip hop station). "Vibe" (R&B station) is the shit too, they got some classic 90s shit on there. And the game is nice ass hell, I'm at like 30% completed right now. They storyline is craaaazzzyy!!
