I just got back from Union Square in New York City--and let me tell you, it was an incredibly overwhelming experience. Hundreds of people celebrating, singing the Pledge Of Allegiance, and chanting "Yes We Can" in unison, it was an unforgettable sight to say the least.
Though I have to admit, I was doubtful of Obama winning the White House. The impact of this election hadn't hit me until I stood amongst the crowd of supporters. It got me thinking--this generation has witnessed so much history in the last 10 years, 9/11, Tsunami, "War On Terrorism," Katrina, and now, the first black president and the first Democratic government in the last 40 years.
Anyways, I'm still a bit taken by the scene at Union Square, I'm waiting on some pictures of Union Square--I'll update this post when I get em.
