Kicking off the Holiday movie season, Ludacris will be starring in the Vince Vaughn film Fred Claus which opens in theaters this Friday. Luda plays a Christmas elf named Donnie (aka DJ Donnie) who just so happens to be black and can DJ and rap. Speechless? Yea nuff said.
Luda's next film projects, Rocknrolla and Ball Don't Lie are more in line with his past more serious roles though and could end up really elevating his acting game.

This week started off with a whole bunch of major corporations announcing endorsement deals with the hip-hop industry. Here's the rundown:
E-40 and 40 Water: E-40 and Glaceau have recently announced the formation of "40 Water." According to the official website 40water.com, 40 Water is "a cool refreshing water vital to a healthy lifestyle. 40 Water has been enhanced with an essential blend of vitamins which supply the body's daily nutritional needs." It comes in four flavors of watermelon, lemon line, fruit punch and tangerine.
Funkmaster Flex and Microsoft: Funkmaster Flex has announced a partnership with Microsoft’s Automotive Business Unit to promote Windows Automotive. Windows Automotive is a software platform designed to improve in-car “infotainment” for drivers. The new advanced infotainment systems will debut during Flex’s annual Custom Car and Bike Show Tour and in his reality TV series Car Wars with Funkmaster Flex.
So who is taking advantage of who? Are hip-hop artists taking advantage of Corporate America desparate to attract the young "urban" demographic? Or is Corporate America exploiting hip-hop for their own gain? The debate continues...
Where is Kanye's clothing line?
Even Kanye's own fiancee Alexis has her own clothing line, Ghita, up and running. Kanye last told Mark Ecko in an interview for Complex Magazine that his clothing line Pastelle would hit the stores in November. It's November 'Ye. Let's hope that the "Coming soon" on his website here changes soon.

E-40, william and all the other hip-hop artists with endorsement deals, they getting their paper that's the bottom line. They gots to eat and support their families, and music royalties arent what they used to be. It's smart biznass on hip-hop's side. They use us...so what...as long as the artists are gettin paid.
