Kanye's 808 & Heartbreaks Track List, New Album Out In June
by on October 15th, 2008
This is the rumored track list gathered for Kanye's 808 & Heartbreaks during a recent listening party for the album. As originally stated, it will be mostly auto-tune featuring only two collabos with Young Jeezy and Lil Wayne.
“I don’t give a fuck if it’s hot or not, it’s from the heart… Would you judge a grandmother’s love? Give it two-and-a-half mics out of five?” - Kanye West.
1. “Welcome to Heartbreak”
2. “Heartless”
3. “Love Lockdown”
4. “Robocop”
5. “The Wrong Thing”
6. “In the Streets”
7. Title unknown
8. “Real Bad News”
9. “So Amazing” featuring Young Jeezy
10. “That You Know” or “Tell Everybody” featuring Lil Wayne
11. “Coldest Winter”
Kanye says the album is not really Hip Hop, more pop than anything. He also said he has a new album underway in June.
You can check out a detailed breakdown of the tracks as well as some more info about the album over at the The Rap-Up.
Hopefully, we'll be receiving a full album snippet soon.

FOR A NiGGA THAT iS ALWAYS SAYIN SOMETHiNG NEGiTiVE ABOUT LIL WAYNE YOU ALWAYS THE FIRST TO BRING UP HIS NAME. THE ONLY CONNECTION WAYNE HAS TO THIS POST IS THAT HE IS ON A SONG, BUT THEN AGAIN SO WAS JEEZY, BUT OH YEAH I ALMOST FORGOT THAT ITS NOT COOL TO HATE ON JEEZY RITE NOW HUH?
AND YOU ALSO SAID IF NAMES HIS ALBUM CARTER 4 IT WOULD SUCK. WTF, SO YOUR SAYIN IF JAY-Z MADE A BLUEPRINT 4 IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY SUCK BECAUSE OF THE NAME?
YOURE JUST A HATE FOR NO REASON TYPE NIGGA. ANY REAL NIGGA THAT READS THIS WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU JUST HATIN ON WAYNE CUZ ITS THE COOL THING TO DO A.K.A. A BANDWAGON!
P.S. IMA BUY KANYE ALBUM AND LISTEN TO IT THEN JUDGE, BUT I TRUST HIS CREATIVITY ENOUGH TO KNOW HE WONT LET ME DOWN WITH A BAD ALBUM!
Rappers are no longer rappers…they’re now doing whateva it takes to get airplay and sell…out.
A whole album (minus 2 songs) of him singing with the fuckin’ vocoder! Zapp n Roger didnt even kill us like that!
And he tried to make up or excuse himself by saying…" I dont give a fuck if it’s hott or not….ps…another album coming in june lol".
SMH…..how many other “rappers” are gonna follow suite???
~Be Eazy!
We all heard the saying “If its not Broken, Don’t fix it”..He’s done so well on his last albums and has been succesful, I’m just hoping him switching up doesn’t cause him to Flop.
Though him flopping would bring him back to his old self, the kanye I like.
I have a feelin’ this pop album isn’t going to be one of his best..The production probally Ill though.
Heartless Snippet > Slaughter House (lick my bawlls Budden Stans, you’re a bum just like your favorite rapper )
but thats your opinion and this is mine =\
heartless seems like a pretty hott joint but love lockdown just really ain’t my taste. i hope this album has SOME rapping on it i’m craving for some Late Registration/College Dropout/Graduation type shit i ain’t trying to wait til fuckin june
ReDef.
i cant wait for dat new max b
thats the most faggoty shit ive heard in a minute
Just bc its Kanye West doesnt mean its going to be instant classic…this pop stuff isnt when Kanye is at his best IMO
that’s why I don’t fuck with Kangay west anymore.
jay-z – vol 1 (had some nice ass songs tho, just too pop)
nas – nastradamus
common – electric circus
eminem – encore
ll cool j – todd smith
method man – tical 0
you get it
He’s just reaching out to the commercial listeniners who listen to any kind of music and those are the peoples you need to reach out for.
Kanye is too creative for some people to the point they don’t understand and he don’t give a fuck about the haters especially the one’s who ain’t getting no paper…..lol.
I definitely see 808’s doing big numbers, similar to the reason C3 did big figures:
A lot of people I knew were buyin C3 not because it was hot (HUGE disappointment, IMO), but rather to thank him for the crazy mixtapes he put out before C3, like Drought 3 and Dedication 2.
I think people would do the same for Ye because all three of his albums were classics.
Everyone puts out a weird record once in a while.
ye i know for some reason majority of hip-hop “heads” seemingly aren’t ever keen on change and doing things differently but it’s funny how they forget that music is an art form in itself that allows the artist to express them self however they see fit.
I ain’t saying it’s great but I ain’t knocking his choice to use the auto tune effect the whole time either, he’s just taking a chance with something outside the box.
but this shit sounds wack
in less than week.
mite cop it..prolly not tho
ay that smell like old ppl shit was funny as fuc
DA ONE IN JUNE GOIN PLAT IN 3 DAYs
wayne n jeezy must of went hard if dey da only nigs on dere
PS My gramma is on my new track and yes she is using the Auto-tune so I dont have to judge her love!
I was really excited to hear that he had started his new album in July or August or whatever, and couldn’t wait to watch him debut the first single “Love Lockdown” at the VMAs. I wasn’t trippen at first, I thought, “alright thats a live performance of one song off the album, there’s no way I can judge”. Then he remastered it like 10 times, but didn’t change any of the shit about it that i hated — the whiney autotune, the lack of substance, and utter disappearance of yeezys swagger.
Maybe I was overestimated him as an emcee, but after hearing that single I was convinced that it was THE special club banger off the album — like Lollipop or Whatever You Like. I couldn’t wait for him to release some of that bomb CHI-town G.O.O.D shit.
I was wrong. His new single, Heartless, is the same exact shit as “Love Lockdown”. Him singing auto-tune for 4 minutes, mindless lyrics, and beats that pretend to be sophisticated and developed but are really just euro-trash.
He put this whole album together from start to finish in like a month and a half, maybe two months, during which he was supposedly producing tracks for Jay-z’s new album and getting in fights with paparazzi at airports. How the fuck could he put the effort that he put into Graduation, College Dropout, and Late Registration in 6 weeks while multitasking with Jay’s album. He’s a musical genius, but even geniuses can lose their focus.
With these two songs I see what he’s trying to do and i respect his vision, but people (at least myself) like his intelligent, cocky yet retrospective, “I-dont-give-a-fuck I’m gonna be me” take on the world, not some heartbroken helpless dude singing into the microphone and autotuning the shit out of it.
I really hope I’m happily surprised by Kanye’s album (which drops next month), but from the looks of it (and more importantly the sounds of it), Kanye is fucking himself. I’m not saying alot of people won’t like it, or that it won’t go platinum (which I’m sure it will within the first month), I’m just saying it sounds like it’s made for a European discotheque ecstasy trip and i’m really missing that old Louis Vuiton Don style.

You know I was just banging that “Parents just don’t understand” track from Will and I bet if it would’ve dropped now yall would be hating on it like crazy and it was creative and hot as hell F what you say…it connected and made hella sense. We just judge too much tha person and bullsh**, Ye’s songs “Heartless and Cold Winter” are fire, and tha other tracks will be fire too
