Young Jeezy's Acting Debut Goes Straight To DVD

http://media.defsounds.com/uploads/assets/193/265/29869/asset.jpegNew York rapper 50 Cent isn't the only one with a recent straight to DVD movie release. According to reports, Young Jeezy's 'Janky Promoters' has been sent straight to DVD after it failed to get picked up for a box office debut.

"Janky Promoters" which also stars Ice Cube and Mike Epps, follows two shady concert promoters who get into hot water when their chance to book a superstar rapper played by Young Jeezy goes awry.

"That movie got dumped," Epps tells SOHH.

"Yeah, you might catch it on DVD or something. It didn't work. It was some studio issues. Studio issues, it didn't work."

In addition to Janky Promoters, Epps also told SOHH he decided not to take part in the film Lottery Ticket with Ice Cube but did not explain why.

The Weinstein Company officially released the movie straight-to-DVD with no marketing, no media and no promotions last Tuesday (November 24).

Hmmm, I really don’t know why a movie wouldn’t get picked up with Ice Cube and Mike Epps, unless it really sucks. I’m still curious to see it. I’m sure those two did the best they could surrounded by zero talent. Terrible Title…
