[Blog] You Guys Are The Best
by on October 15th, 2009
I wanted to take a different route today. I usually take the time from my day to do one or two news articles, and then discuss some things in Hip Hop that I find to be offensive, interesting or just noteworthy.
Today I really do feel its about time I paid homage to the members of the Defsounds community. So, before you decide to bash me for being biased or whatever you may want to say; let me just get a couple of words in. For starters, you guys are the best.
I say that with ease, and believe me I have been to other sites and read other articles, because of my loyalty to Defsounds.com I tend to find most other Hip Hop sites boring and uninteresting. But I do take out time to read some of the user feedback, and believe it or not there is no user feedback more honest then ours. If there is, I just cant appreciate it; because I dont want to.
I have been a writer on this site for almost as long as it's been active. I have done everything from editorials to interviews. Over the past year my main assignment has moved to album reviews, and I have to say that I appreciate and love the candor that some of you have for the reviews. I may not always like how you say it or express it, but at the end of the day there is nothing left to do but respect it.
When you agree with a review, you let me know. When you disagree, you let me know. Sometimes you even tell me what you think of me, (which is always entertaining) but you never keep your keyboards still; you always keep the site active.
I always love when a blog, editorial or review is posted by someone from the site, because it gives me the opportunity to see what you guys have to say. Each and everytime I can't help but be entertained by your comments. But for all the good that you bring to the site, I think you guys do get a little carried away at times. This is just an assumption and one only made by me, but this is an online site. Most of you dont know each other personally, so where do some of these disrespectful comments come from?
Just a suggestion, be respectful of peoples cultures, because nine out of ten times you know nothing about their culture, who they are or where they came from, so you have no right to speak on it in a negative manner.
If Doo Flinky, Young Mayo and Chalie Boy want to suck the juices out of Lil Wayne's dreads then let them, as long as their not pushing up on you.
But other then that you guys really are great. I cant thank you enough for taking out your time and reading my reviews, blogs and editorials, as well as the work from the other writers of this site. We really do work hard to bring you a good product, and hopefully it's something that you can be proud of, sort of like the way we're so proud of you.

(i will say it used to be better)
the one and only king
now they gonn act like some big shots..
DooFuck, YungGayo, and those other Wayne, Ja Rule, and Soulja Boy dickryders – I will continue to hate because I refuse to get along with them. History shows that if enough people hate, things change. Just like Fat Joe’s floppy disk of an album. Just like George W’s ratings and subsequent outing of the White House to the numerous pushbacks due to the lackluster reception of Lil’ Wayne’s rock album. All I’m saying is that SOMETIMES, hating serves a purpose.
So in short, NO- I will not respect DooFlinky or YungMayo.
