Tupac Returns In 2010

by Jokesta on June 22nd, 2009

http://media.defsounds.com/uploads/assets/1929/1983/24186/asset.jpegFans of Tupac Shakur will rejoice next year as the legendary rapper makes his return to the charts.

According to reports, the publishing company which picked up the late rapper's Death Row catalogue will be releasing a set of "lost" recordings to mark his 39th birthday in June 2010.

EverGreen Copyrights have signed a deal with a Canadian development company which acquired the assets of Death Row Records earlier this year to release the new material.

EverGreen executives and their partners at WIDEawake have licensed Pac's Death Row hit California Love and Snoop Dogg's Gin N Juice for TV shows and movies, and will also be releasing a collector's edition of Dr. Dre's The Chronic and material by Snoop Dogg and MC Hammer.

Most of the collector's edition material will be sold as box sets this coming holiday season including, a four-CD collection of previously unreleased Death Row master recordings.

People just insist on not leaving Pac and Big’s legacies alone don’t they? I wonder if Pac would want them to even do this shit, probably not…

i gotta say this is gettin crazy— the mans been dead 15 years they shoulda been put this out.. im glad to hear that its unlreleased songs.. at least this will be better than the last 15 biggie and 2pac albums with recyled verses over and over in an attempt to make money off the same material.. anyway should be cool the hear some “new” 2pac.. even though this shoulda been out 10 years ago..

we don’t need another Pac album. people give Diddy a bunch of shit for how he handled Big’s leftover material but Pac’s family should be ashamed of themselves for lettin this happen.

Pac family dont got nothing to do with it, he who owns the copyrights and publishing does what they want.

in today’s day and age Pac’s family could take that shit to court and win the rights if they wanted to. I imagine they are getting enough of the cut that they don’t say anything.

What is so significant about a 39th Birthday? I could maybe understand 40th but not for someone who has passed… They should find a different reason for the release but either way i’m just glad to hear we will be getting something eventhough I have doubts there are that many GOOD “lost” recordings left..

Why cant people just let that man go…No more CD’s..no more singles. Sad people still tryin to make money off sumbody. I still cant believe some think people wanna wear clothes from a dead rapper. You dont hear em releasin lost aaliyah, Big, Pimp C, and whoever else albums do you? No, cuz people learned to let them go.
replyReply | 1 props | propProp | trashTrash

Ok honestly know one here minds the fact that new 2pac music is coming out because you all know damn well you want to hear it. With that said how can you let the man go when he made so much music? You think he made 3 songs a day for them to just be left hidden somewhere NO. He did it because he knew he was going to die and that even when he was gone he would still be relevant and the greatest/realest rapper to ever do it. The man was a genius in doing that, and to everyone saying that there just going remix his songs, they’re are still unreleased songs that 2Pac has done other projects that he didnt release he was getting everything ready.

ummm…death row don’t own shit anymore….
i don’t know why some of you idiots think death row
still has something to do with this shit…
they lost whatever they had left when they shit got
put up for auction…so whoever these people are are
going to get whatever money that comes from selling this
unreleased material…and besides…why not release all pac’s material?
yall nigga’s talkin about let this nigga rest in peace…get the fuck outta here…
1.pac will never rest in peace until all his music is officially released…
2.we won’t have to worry about the shit once it does…
3.b.i.g. is already done…all his music is released…so his legacy
is finished as in when it comes to more material being released…
you see puffy still tryna make money off him with all these remix albums his
lame ass being putting out…
so just stop saying let his soul rest in peace cause as long as he got unreleased songs….
that’s not gonna happen…besides…why would he make all those songs and then be like don’t release none of my shit…music is made to be heard…not hidden you dumb fucks…

Well said. I ain’t heard a good posthumous cd from pac since ‘r u still down?’ and that wasn’t the best. I just hope they keep this shit original, og beats mastered to todays quality. That’s the shit the real fans want to hear, not pac used for some commercial gain as I imagine this will turn out as. Pac knew what the fuck he was doing when he recorded all of this, it wasn’t to put on a shelf, it was to be put out for the masses to hear. I just hope this is a good album.

ardianabout 1 year ago
Well he always said he would make 3-4 songs a day and you can tell with the history of him making Me Against the World after the 94 shooting and his sodomy case, then making All Eyes On Me in 2 weeks and lastly making The Don Killuminati in 7 days 3 of which he wrote the songs and recorded the other 4 for production. I think it may be likely he has a kid Letter to My Unborn was a true song in my opinion because when Pac rapped he really spoke the truth on the beefs he was in and his inner feelings

Err… I feel like going down the whole page and responding to every stupid comment on here

Oh Pac is dead, let him rest in peace, stop releasing his music

If you was saying, stop releasing fucked music, thats a different thing. But the reason Pac recording so many songs was just in case he die, his music will live on. U think Pac is saying dont release anymore music now. He’s saying release it, but keep it the way I left it. I had no problem with Better Dayz & Until The End of Time… they changed up some beats and only a few guest appearances… but the latest shit have been fuckin god awful. Ima punch Afeni
