The Lox And Bad Boy Possibly Reuniting For One Album Deal
by on October 28th, 2009
Over Ten years ago they were one of the young new groups about to blow up, and like many of the most popular artist during that period, they were signed to Bad Boy. After an ugly break up, some arguments over a bad contracts and a new name. The group that brought you Money, Power. Respect left BadBoy and renamed themselves D-Block may make a return to BadBoy for one more Lox album.
According to Yonkers rapper Jadakiss, the Lox are actually very close to signing a deal with Diddy. He said that their former boss offered the group a one album deal.
"Our main focus right now is that Lox album. It might be coming out through Diddy, it might be coming out through some other people, but it's going down. Yeah, Diddy just did a new deal with Interscope as y'all know with his Dirty Money and all his other stuff, he put an offer out there for a one album deal over there, so you know, we thinking about making it. If it don't make dollars, it could make cents and we'll do it again."
With all of the issues that occured after the group left the label, some in the industry were left scratching their heads after hearing the news, but Kiss brushed it off. Saying that they were beyond the past and grown.
"It's about the evolution, it's about growing. We came into the business with him, despite our differences because of our lack of knowledge in the game and other sh*t and what so, we still learned a lot from him and to work all them things out and make a full 360 and possibly work again with him after ten years that would be incredible. It shows maturity as artists, it shows respect as men and it's good for the outside far as what he can do for us and what we can do for him."
Although Kiss confirmed an offer from Diddy, no contract has been signed yet. So there is no release date for a Lox album.
