Lil Mama got robbed, Missy never even dropped an album.Just like last year when Lupe lost “Best New Artist” to the fat chick from Dreamgirls. Best BET show I’ve seen though, and I ain’t a fan of BET since Viacom bought them out and turned it to Black MTV. Hate to say it but no way Souljah oy should have lost to The Dream. Reminds me of when 50 lost to Evanesence at the Grammy’s. Alicia Keys was my personal highlight followed by NeYo with the Jabawockees and then T-pain’s performance. Keshia Cole and Lil Kim were the low point, followed by Jeezy and Ye doing “Put On,” a song that just doesen’t do it for me. Wayne had a nice performance, he’ll be next year’s Kanye winning everything, even though his album ain’t as hot as Ye’s. He has put out two MONSTER singles(A Milli, Lollipop) that are undeniable and should be enough to win big for him. Also, as much as I love Alicia, especially since she transformed to Pam Grier, I think Rihanna had a bigger year, she should have won on the strength of “Umbrella,” alone, last year’s “Irreplaceable.” Better luck next year. All in all, a good show.
