The 2008 BET Awards
by on June 25th, 2008
The BET Awards were last night. Once again, BET
delivered a great show for all of the network’s advocates and the
fans of the artists nominated.
This was highlighted by an amazing showing via
the winner of "Best Female R&B Artist", Alicia Keys.
Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton and Maxwell sang a number of classics, including "Let's Stay Together," "I'm So Tired of Being Alone" and more.
Chris Brown came correct, while T-Pain brought a boatload of people to the stage with his erratic performance. Lil Wayne also did his thing with T-Pain as he collaborated with him for "Lollipop" before performing "A Milli" to close out the evening.
Other performers and award presenters during the evening included a new, shapely Lil Kim, Rihanna, SWV, David Banner, En Vouge, Usher, Ciara, TLC, Terrence Howard, Cuba Gooding Jr., Gabrielle Union and numerous others. If you missed it, it will be replayed Friday, June 27th at 7:30 p.m.

~BE FIFTY
Kobe is an outstanding ballplayer but gimme a fuckin break. Floyd is muthafuckin UNBEATABLE.
Homeboy that said UGK only won b/c of Pimp C, your an idiot. Their whole album was on point, and that video was banging.
I’m in love with Alicia Keys yall. Word to everything, I would wife that chick. And Lil Mama did get screwed. Missy has to be one of the most overrated rappers ever. I mean she got hits for days but Lil Mama would rap circles around her.
PS: I was surprised by Wayne’s performance, he ripped it! .
HE WOULD OF WON VIDEO TOO IF THY DIDNT GIVE IT TO UGK
HOW ND THE HELL DO U HAVE EVERYBODY THT COME ON THE STAGE TALKING BOUT HIS ALBUM
SELL AMILLION.5 IN ONE WEEK
THEN THT GOT HIM TO CLOSE OUT THE SHOW CAUSE THY KNO HE THE HOTTEST RAPPER OUT
THEN PLAY HIM FOR THE BEST HIP HOP ARTIST
WE ALL KNO WHO IM TALKIN BOUT
THTS SOME BULLSHIT BET PLAYED MY NIGGA WAYNE
SO FUCK B.E.T
HE EVEN KNO HE SHOULDNT HAVE WON DAT BITCH
How in the fuck is Playaz Circle nominated for best group?
Have the standards really dropped that low?
Overall the award show was ok at best!
Best performances go to Alicia Keys & Co. , Al Green & Co.
Usher, and Chris Brown( past & present) with Ciara’s jiggly ass (she’s growin’ up!)
The rest of the females sounded like shit!
DL stumbled over too many words and rushed too many of his “corny” jokes.
A lot of people didnt even bother to show up to the event!
It just wasnt as BIG as I thought it would be.
Lil’ Mama definitely got robbed (cant believe I’m saying that).
Also did yall see how SWV put on like 300lbs???
All in all… it was nothing that you HAD to see.
~Be Eazy!
but I have to admit dat 50 cent goat is alot funnier than the rest of em
Dont get me wrong he still a faggott and he should still kill himself
But he’s funnier than the other losers!
congratulations to all the winners fuck it and the nominees too. if you nominated you still doin somethin right, just someone did it a lil better, theres always next year
ciara was fuckin sexy as hell
another thing to add to the long list of why bet sucks
i don’t remember the last time i flipped the channel to BET, thats sad
swv has really aged, en vouge sounded and looked good though. Put on was lack-luster, the BET mics were real shitty durring that performance. Ne-Yo is the future of R&B, people are sleeping on him. Usher was outdone by both ne-yo and chris brown.
Cuba Gooding Jr. was high off his ass. Mel B looked good, for those wondering why eddie would have hit it, watch the show. lil mama was DEFINITELY robbed.
When you look back at the past year, you’ll understand why kanye beat wayne. Kanye had a big year, wayne’s is just getting started.
over all, I was entertained. It was sooooooo much better than past boring ass years. BET is still garbage, but they stepped their game up with the award show.
BET is just MTV with black faces.
The streets have nothing to do with it anymore.
I would like to see Lupe on that list along with Game and a few others.
Oh yeah, he’s a fucking coon sell out so of course he wasn’t in there!
