First let me get this out of the way, we got rid of banning before and implemented the whole Trash/Props system hoping it'll balance things out and you guys could get rid of the crap some tards post...though it's working well...after that 1life douche started making a million accounts, we decided to bring it back. So if you piss us off by acting retarded, spamming, or just generally doing stupid shit..odds are you WILL get banned. First is a regular ban, next comes an IP ban. See, one bad apple spoils the bunch.

And now onto the good stuff...new features like POW. We've been listening to you guys ask for embeds so that you can post new singles/videos and all that crap on your myspace for a while now and at last, we've budged and pretty much took it all the way.

SHARE IT!

You can now embed almost every damn thing on Def Sounds...Singles, Videos, News, Blogs, Editorials, Eeeeverything.

There's now a Share tab in the sexy article tools:

So you see an interesting story you want to share with a friend or post on your blog...you click it and you come to a form where you can email a friend the story OR you can copy the code to paste it in a forum or blog/website. When you paste the code it looks like this:

If you want to embed a single...you can do the same or click the button on the right in the singles player to get the embed code.

Same thing for videos...just click the share tab.

Profile Additions/Artist Alerts

Alright so we know the profiles are very limited right now but that'll improve over time. We'll keep working on it, improving functionality and give you more ways to customize it.

We've rolled out Alerts..alerts are a 2 things.

First, when someone comments on your profile, you now get a nice lil alert under your avatar letting you know.

The second part of alerts--Artist Alerts. You can now opt to receive email notification when an article/single/video/rumor is posted about your favorite rapper..simply go to their artist profile and click "Send Alerts" at the top of their Bio.
