R.I.P.
He’s one of the best lyricists of all time (only behind Rakim). The fact that he didn’t even write lyrics down made it more mind boggling to me.

Oh one more thing… Where’s the classic tracc Juicy?
that’s one of the best lyrical performances in hip hop!

I love Tupac too, but this is BIGGIE page. This is the anniversary of HIS death. Give the nigga his due, he was one of the best to ever do it, as was Pac. Next year, comment about Tupac on Tupac’s page. But for now:

R.I.P. Christopher Wallace a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie Smalls.

Lyrically untouchable…

“I got a new mouth to feed, I’m due south with keys
Y’all pick seeds out y’all weed, I watch cowards bleed
Motherfucker please, it’s my block with my rocks
Fuck the hip-hop, them one-two’s and it don’t stop
Me and my nigga Lance, took him and Cease in vans
Bought ten bricks, four pounds of weed plants
from Branson, now we lamp in, twelve room mansions
Bitches get naked off Get Money, Playas Anthem
Don’t forget One More Chance and, my other hits
Other shit niggaz spit be counterfeit
Robbing come naturally, in and out like fuckin rapidly
Pass the gat to me
Make his chest rest where his back should be
Fuckin blasphemy, blast me, your family rest in coffins
Often, Franquiza, far from soft or fragile, uh
Play hard like Reggie Miller, rapper slash dope dealer
slash guerilla, slash illest turn iller…”-Keep ya hands high(UNBELIEVABLE VERSES in that song)

“We hit makers with acres
Roll shakers in Vegas, you can’t break us
Lost chips on Lakers, gassed off Shaq
Country house, tennis courts on horseback
Riding deciding cracked crab or lobster
Who say mobsters don’t prosper
Niggas is actors, niggas deserve Oscars
Me I’m, critically acclaimed, slug past your brain
Reminisce on dames who, coochie used to stink
When we rocked house pieces and puffy Gucci links
Now we buy homes in unfamiliar places
Tito smile everytime he see our faces
Cases catch more than outfield-ers
Half these rappin cats, ain’t seen war
Couldn’t score if they had point game, they lame
Speak my name, I make em dash like Dame…” -Love the Dough

“Niggas in my faction don’t like asking questions
Strictly gun testing, coke measuring
Giving pleasure in the Benz-ito
Hitting fanny, spending chips at Manny’s
Hope you creeps got receipts, my peeps get dirty like cleats
Run up in your crib, wrap you up in your Polo sheets
Six up in your wig piece, nigga decease
MWA, may you rest in peace
With my Sycamore style, more sicker than yours
Four-four, and fifty-four draw
There’s my pilot, steers my Lear, yes my dear
Shit’s official, only, the Feds I fear
Here’s a tissue, stop your blood clot crying
The kids the dog, everybody dying — no lying
So don’t you get suspicious
I’m Big Dangerous you’re just a Lil Vicious
As I leave my competition, respirator style
Climb the ladder to success escalator style
Hold y’all breath, I told y’all — death
controls y’all, Big don’t fold y’all, uhh
I spit phrases that’ll thrill you
You’re nobody ’til somebody kills you…”-Youre nobdy

R.I.P. Christopher Wallace the GOAT.

advance as in their advance check from the record label

it was Suge knight ..
3 props | propProp | trashTrash
2eaglesonehead6 months ago
It was definitely Suge.

Puff LOVED Biggie. It dont make any sense to murder your top earner at the peak of his career on the eve of another classic album. And on top of all that, Puff was a business man first and stood to gain alot more money if Big would have kept coming with them verses. After BIG died man they carried it out with Mase & them for a minute and then Puffys reign started slowing down and Jay-Z & Nas had to hold down NY without him. New York niggaz LOVED Biggie kid. No way did Puff do the shit.

What did Puff stand to gain?

Now on the other hand… Dosnt it make more sense that Suge would snuff out Biggie and try to keep Death Row on top… knowing that he had a virtual library of Tupac music to keep it hot. And niggas LOVED Pac too.

Big was killed in LA outside of a crowded awards show right in the middle of traffic. But the LAPD never even found a SUSPECT to link to the crime. So who do you think had a few LA cops in his pocket????

The New York Bad Boy record label dude???

Or the Los Angeles Death Row Gangster/Gang Affiliated/ record label dude???

This shit aint rocket science daddy.
2 props | propProp | trashTrash
whoyoube6 months ago
i think suge was involved in both murders- pac and big. imo, this was all about pac and biggie was collateral damage.
1 props | propProp | trashTrash
tcatbullets6 months ago
Puffy had nothing to do with plotting big’s death, he may know some information he’s not revealing (such as bad boy’s affiliation with gang members) but he def wasnt involved in his death. Bad boy had 1997 on lock down. Pac died 6 months prior and Biggie, Puffy, and Mase all dropped platnium selling albums.

@ 2 head eagles

they weren’t leaving an award show, they were leaving an after party of an award show.

the game changed after they died. its like the dumbing down of hip-hop started. esp after tupac died, bc the dude was bigger than music. he was on the verge of being the next black leader.

@bullsfan234…..There is a reason why when big & pac’s names are still talked about today. Ever heard that saying if pac or big was still here we wouldn’t have mc such and such. and co-sign Whoyoube…I think Pac could have really been our first black president, or vice…On second thought there is no way in hell they was finna let that nigga in the white house. One can only dream…

The BEST ever. The wordplay, the story lines, the FLOW, the charisma, the heart. You knew he was telling the truth when he rhymed. His death left such a void in the game. Every label had to have a biggie, but there was only one. Listen to his albums today and you see everything he talks about imitated. I love Jay, but how big could he have honestly gotten if Big would have stayed the king of NY?

He is Hip Hop’s gift to the world. In a hundred years when they’re gonna look at this Hip Hop shit, they’ll just have to listen to Ready to Die and they’ll get it. They’ll get us.

No doubt kid.

Big was King Of New York.

Nas knew it.

Jay knew it.

Ghost & Rae knew it.

Even though Nas DID give him stiff competition.
