The 2nd annual "Rick Ross Be Out Day" was interrupted by gunfire yesterday. The event is an outdoor celebration where Rick hands out food, school supplies and encourages people to get registered to vote.
It was reported that the entire event was peaceful and positive until Ross took the stage. As soon as he did, someone fired a gun. “He was giving back to the community when this happened,” a source said to an online publication. “Rick and the whole Poe Boy team got on stage and that’s when someone in the crowd started shooting.”
The annual Rick Ross Be Out Scholarship is normally presented at the
event, which was also sponsored by The City of Miami Gardens and The
Children’s Trust. Police say they have one man in custody and are still looking for another person involved.
