Really pisses me off that Rakim never made a decent album ever splitting with Eric B.
The Golden Era is dead – Therefore this album will sound like every other 80’s/90’s emcee trying to prove they are still “Real Hip Hop” but lack the hype and the dusty sound of the Golden era, Fuck it anyway.
There’s still good shit out there but Rakim is going for a sell out sound “Holy Are You” and “Walk these streets” not so much lyrically but definately production wise.
