New York rapper Jadakiss may soon find himself amidst a drug bust after a Yonkers apartment leased under his name was raided by police.
According to reports, officers obtained a search warrant for the premises after arresting two Jadakiss associates in a car outside the building on drugs charges.
Gabriel R. Henriquez and Alberto Lajara were approached by officers after they noticed a marijuana small coming from their vehicle. While being questioned prior to the arrest, Henriquez allegedly became nervous and took off running. He was subsequently apprehended.
Henriquez told officers he was residing in Jada's apartment where police discovered a drug stash containing six pounds of marijuana, five grams of heroin and $42,000 in cash.
He was charged with three felonies: second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree assault. He was also hit with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, which is a misdemeanor.
Lajara got much lesser charges, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
Lieutenant Joseph Monaco told the Journal News that Kiss “is not wanted at this time.”
