New York rapper Nas has fired back at his estranged wife Kelis insisting he doesn't have as much money as she claims.
The split between the two continued down a sour path after Kelis filed expenses records with a Los Angeles court to get support from Nas and alleged his last record deal was worth $11 million.
As previously reported, Kelis is seeking spousal support from Nas as well as child support, all pregnancy-related expenses, one-half of all medical expenses after the child is born, her lawyer fees, stem cell storage, and $23,000 for a nanny, strollers, cribs and other baby supplies.
Nas has responded in legal papers in which he claims he didn't even receive half of the $11 million.
He added the fee was closer to $4 million and his earnings are dwindling all the time.
On average, Nas claims he is only making $147,165 a month, but $70,000 of that is used to pay monthly bills, including $10,000 for clothing and hair maintenance.
Nas says he wants to be "fully involved" in the upbringing of their child and thinks $5,000-a-month for a newborn baby is adequate.
