Lil Wayne's Rebirth Debuts At #2 On Billboard 200
by on February 11th, 2010
Lil Wayne's experimental rock album finally hit the shelves last week after months of delays and being accidently shipped and leaked by Amazon in December, and the question everybody wanted to know was how much could a Weezy rock album sell. The numbers are in, and his total of 175,600 landed him at #2 on the Billboard 200.
His label's debut album, We Are Young Money moved a little over 20k to push their seven-week total to 291,300.
Weezy recently spoke about Tha Carter IV with Tim Westwood.
"Yeah, Tha Carter IV, interesting," Wayne told radio host Tim Westwood. "Very interesting. It's interesting, I hope so, I hope it's incredible and all those things. But like I said, I think they know the velocity of Carter IV without me even having to speak on it. I think they know what that's gonna be. It should be [a defining moment]. It should be. Honestly, it should be."

Let’s be real, That’s Not Hip Hop. No one wants to buy a Rock Album especially that has been leaked 2 months ago for free.
He should’ve did about 10k with that shit…..
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
BOSS!!
Yeah that’s what I was thinking, Hip Hop has got to be dead.
Plus I just read that 50 may be deporting from Em and Dre….
Em – has been working with Wayne
Dre- has been working with Ashanti and possibly signed Game again
Not looking good for 50 cent “as a Hip Hop artist”
Who cares if an artist goes platinum in a week?! If I was an artist I’d rather sell zero copies in my first week then make it multi than to go platinum the first week and barely go multi. It shows longevity, first week numbers have to much importance places on them.
so who cares who sold more.
you niggas crack me up
50 next album title: Get Rich & Stop Tryin
haha you beat me to it

“haha theres 175,000 homos out there..so far”
“Hip Hop has got to be dead.”
“Thats pathetic that such a low quality album can sell… anyone who bought this shit or even downloaded it is just a leaf in the wind and should be shot”
“he flopped cuz him and the young money flunkies are a bunch of homos”
^ Oh word? He flopped?
lol I’m not gonna sit here and lie. The album was bad in my opinion. But to sit here and call all the people that bought it homos? Are you serious?
Your life is waaaaay too stressful if you have to take out frustration on Defsounds.com against people who wanted to support Wayne’s music. lol.
what you dont understand is lil wayne is not the nigga he think he is.
listen to how this nigga rapped & llok at how he dressed in 1999-2004
the nigga has changed.
completely. now this is juss my opinion…..but i dont like niggas like that/
That’s the second time you’ve mentioned my name being Dedication 3.
Get a clue bitch.
that is the clue bitch
Seriosly, shut the fuck up.
SOMEBODY TELL THIS CLUELESS DICK HEAD THAT MY NAME ISN’T BASED OFF THE MIXTAPE “DEDICATION 3”.
lol I thought I made the point clear when I made an entire blog about why my name is what it is. But I guess not.
So message to cypressds:
Leave me the fuck alone and quit replying to my comments talking about my name.
That’s the clue I wanted you to get.
Bitch.
I might not ever listen to it but its not bad to go outside of your box and trying something new.
but i will tell yu the songs that i like from this album
- One Way Trip f/ kevin Rudolf
- Runnin’ f/ Shanell
- I’m So Over You F/ Shanell
- Ground Zero
+
-On Fire
hands down tha best ones from the cd
You can’t say anything against “the norm” or else you get trashed.
According to Billboard – Young Money have 3 Albums in the Top 50 right now….
I think we should just stop caring about how much Wayne and other mainstream sell, we all know the only people who cop their shit are idiots that only care about banger beats, and lyrics about money, drugs, and women. This isnt Hip Hop, theres no fucking message behind the music.
-runnin
-paradice
-drop the world
-die for you
and “Ground Zero” dnt tlk about that shit either
