There will be no more delays in sentencing for Hip Hop superstar Lil Wayne, as he has been officially sentenced to one year behind bars for a second-degree gun possession charge as he appeared in a Manhattan Criminal Court this afternoon.
Pandemonium broke out as Lil Wayne pulled up to the court house in his black, tinted-out SUV as more than 100 fans and photographers swarmed. When he stepped out, the mob of people followed him all the way to the court house doors to take pictures of the Cash Money rapper’s last moments of freedom until early 2011.
Lil Wayne had declined to comment after Judge Charles H. Solomon asked him if he had anything to say. The rapper simply shook his head no, after being handed the year long sentence.
After the sentence was issued, Weezy was immediately handcuffed, while being cuffed all he could do was nod his head at Birdman and Slim.
TMZ reported that Wayne will be in protective custody while serving his time in New York’s infamous Rikers Island.
The New Orleans bred MC is expected to serve 8 out of the 12 months as long as he is on good behavior.

dog even if lil wayne was excepted by the bloods in jail doesn’t mean the races white or mexicans will its separated by race in jail, wayne would have to put in work for the black race in jail and that puts his sentence in jeperdy, if he gets caught up in bullshit the longer he gun stay its better he in protective custody so he can do his time and come home to his life.
