Kelis is taking her ex-husband and Queensbridge hip hop legend, Nas back to court, because she feels her financial support should be increased, totaling to over $400,000.
Kelis' team feels her monthly payments should be increased, because she is "dependant" on Nas to maintain her current lifestyle, since his gross monthly income is $244,826.00 compared to her 13,744.00.
She's asking for $72,728.00 in spousal support, retro child support of $29,522.00, $17,225.00 a month in child support, and retro spousal support of $281,571.
The case will be reviewed in September, at which time the judge will make the ruling how much Nasir must pay his ex-wife, and how long he has to maintain supporting her.
Nasir is currently celebrating the birth of his first born son Knight.
