Judge Tells Snoop It's Time To Settle
by on March 9th, 2008
Los Angeles Superior Court judge Helen I. Bendix has urged Snoop Dogg and Priority Records to reach a settlement in their $2 Million breach of contract suit brought by the "Dogg Father" himself against the label.
According to reports, Snoop Dogg must reach a settlement with his former label Priority Records within the next three weeks - or the unpaid royalties case will go to trial.
Snoop filed suit against the label in 2006, accusing Priority Records of failing to pay up $2 million in outstanding royalties.
He also claimed he had yet to receive a $950,000 advance for his 2000 album, "Tha Last Meal."
Furthermore, the suit also claims Priority Records allegedly released Snoop's greatest hits compilation without the rappers consent.
Priority Records fired back and countered the suit stating Snoop waited to long to file the suit and has asked that it be tossed on those grounds.
Judge Helen I. Bendix set a deadline of 26 March (08) for a settlement to be reached.
If Snoop and Priority still disagree by that date, Bendix will either set a trial date or refer the case to the Superior Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution program.

and just cause someone is black does not mean there from the hood

All they see is some cars as gifts and about 30-50k waved in their face and they sign the next 4 albums away on the dotted line.
