Jermaine Dupri Owes $3.2 Mil In Taxes, Lawyer Reacts

by The Chosen Few on November 18th, 2009

http://media.defsounds.com/uploads/assets/2302/2368/29505/asset.jpegSuper Producer Jermain Dupri's lawyer has spoke out against claims that his client still owes the IRS over 3 million dollars in taxes.

The state of Georgia filed a lien of over $135,000 against JD on Nov. 17, 2008. The IRS filed $2,095,004 lien against him Sept. 4, 2008.

Via e-mail Jermaine's lawyer states the debts have been addressed.

"I can assist you in telling you that all of the taxes have been paid and my law firm has been, and is, in the process of getting the liens removed in normal course," Kane wrote in the e-mail. "As to any other information, you can certainly understand under the attorney-client privilege that I am not able make any further comment."

This is not JD's first run-in with Uncle Sam. Back 2002, Dupri was raided by federal agents who confiscated computers, furniture and cars to help pay back his then $2.5 million debt.
