Hov: Jackson Was On Girls Girls Girls
by on October 8th, 2009
Many Hip Hop fans look fondly back at Summer Jam 2001 when Jay Z brought Michael Jackson on stage, it was one of the all time greatest moments for the concert series, for Hip Hop, and proved just how powerful Jay's influence is.
For many this was the first time that the King Of Pop had ever done anything with anyone in hip hop, but according to Hov, this meeting was just the tip of the iceberg on what the two did together.
Hov has done many things in the industry, and has worked with countless artist, in an interview with NME, the Brooklyn rapper has revealed that the King of Pop, actually sang back up for Jay's hit single "Girls, Girls, Girls" on the Blueprint album.
“He was on my song ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’, singing these background vocals and I didn’t even put his name on it,”.
This should come as a surprise to many, as Michael did not have too much involvement in the Hip Hop community. But during the interview Hov spoke very fondly of the fallen legend, reminiscing on the Summer Jam the two did together.
“He played a concert with me in New York, which was great, he got up and he walked out and the place went mental, guys were just grabbing their hats and throwing them like, “Aiiiiiiiiiieeeeee!'"
But unlike others Hov seems to have a positive perspective on Michael's death.
“I try to look for the meaning in things that happen, and it was a tragedy that Michael Jackson passed away, especially for his kids, but on the other side, I think it gave Michael a chance to be celebrated for the genius he was without all the other stuff in the way, and I don’t know if that would ever have happened had he been alive.”

smh..
Wasn’t it ‘The Game’ who said some shit about how he used to talk to MJ on the phone and how he wanted Game and 50 to end their beef?
you just know that shit was made up.
