Empire Of The Sun To Give Blue Print 3 A New Sound

Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z has enlisted the help of an unlikely ally for his upcoming LP, Blue Print 3.

According to reports, Australian buzz band Empire Of The Sun will be adding their eccentric sounds to Jay-Z's  'What We Talkin About.'

The bands frontman, Luke Steel will reportedly provide the hook for the cut off Blue Print 3.

The seed for this unlikely meeting of musical minds was apparently orchestrated by a recent episode of cult television series Entourage, reports music editor Kathy McCabe.

Empire's latest single Standing On The Shore closed the show a couple of weeks ago in the US, and sources said Jay-Z, an Entourage fan, heard the track and got his people to seek out Steele's people.

Within days Steele was recording his vocals on the song 'What We Talkin About,' joining an A-list cast of guests on Blueprint 3 including Rihanna, Kanye West and MGMT.

I honestly think this will be lost on the hard up “I’m not gay” hip hop community. Diversity does seem to scare about 75% of you. I’m not a massive Jay fan but I can appreciate the guy is pushing the boundaries a little when it comes to putting two completely different styles of music together.
