Fresh out of "America's Toughest Jail" Tent City, Arizona, New York rapper DMX will soon be stepping into the boxing ring to square off against business partner, Eric Martinez.
According to reports, X is set to fight Martinez, a member of his new management team, as part of a fight night that also includes Butterbean taking on Tank Abbott put on by "Thunder Promotions."
The often-troubled rapper is scheduled to participate in an unregulated mixed martial arts fight on December 12 in Alabama's Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex as part of the "Alabama Pride" event.
"Promoters reached out and wanted to see if they can set up a celebrity fight between myself and DMX," Martinez is quoted as saying.
"It was just real simple. I heard that Busta Rhymes was actually the original opponent they were trying to get for DMX," he continued.
Martinez, is an Arizona entrepreneur and a onetime MMA competitor with a single win under his belt.

pretty much any skilled heavyweight could’ve got dude off… muscle weighs more than fat, kimbo is just a bitch and he shouldn’t have won… that’s why he didn’t, dude has no technique at all and that’s what the ufc is all about. you have to have more fighting styles than just boxing or you’ll go nowhere

Man wat a garbage main event! These guys have more losses than wins under their belt in mma. They still got name value though and i wouldnt get in a barfight wit them.
And also why is every celeb/athlete tryin mma nowadays? Remember wat happened to Jose Canseco? People like him make mma look like a joke. I think the only person who make it in mma is shaq cuz he has actually trains for combat and he got athletiscism.
