Da Brat Sentenced To Three Years In Prison

The charges stem from allegations against Da Brat claiming that she assaulted a waitress, up-and-coming model and cheerleader Shala Stevens, with a bottle of rum whilst at Jemaine Dupri's Club 72.

Stevens suffers deep lacerations to her cheek and permanent facial scarring, as well as career obstacles. Her power attorney, Willie Gary, says Stevens was forced to pull out of her would-be role in the popular sitcom "Tyler Perry's House of Pain" due to her injuries.

Superior Court Judge Gail Flake also handed out seven years of probation and two-hundred hours of community service to Da Brat after she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
