Busta Rhymes Talks Interscope Departure, B.O.M.B. Hitting Stores December 9th

by Jokesta on October 23rd, 2008

http://media.defsounds.com/uploads/assets/2239/2251/7185/asset.jpgAfter a surprising departure from his long time label home, Interscope, New York rapper Busta Rhymes has shed some light on the situation in a recent interview.

Busta says that although he has a phenomenal relationship with Aftermath head honcho and super producer, Dr. Dre, he was having problems with Interscope itself.

"Me and Dre always had a phenomenal relationship. On the label side--it just wasn't feeling like it was supposed to," Busta says.

"For the most part, I never left the label with any bad blood--a sit down with me and Jimmy [Iovine] had to happen and we just came to an agreement that what I'm trying to do at this stage of my career, trying to evolve and grow is just something I need to happen in a very particular way. Some of the ways, they were able to facilitate and some of the ways they weren't. It was just an honest assessment. I made a decision, he respected my decision and supported my decision. I thank Jimmy for not complicating my release and letting me leave with my album." Busta continued.

Busta also says his latest serving, Back On My Bullshit (B.O.M.B.) will be hitting stores on December 9th and it's currently being led by his latest single, "Arab Money. "

You can check out video of Busta speaking on Interscope and Arab Money below.

Agr!!!another old ass raper triyn to get some attention, when will busta realise that he should retire when Nas said that hip hop is dead,he meant that rappers like busta,luda,50,dr.dre,em,dmx,ja rule,j-z,nas himself, cam and many more have all died with hip hop and are buried, however there are this rappers that gave birth to the new hip hop, props to kanye, weezy, khaled, ross, fat joe, plies, common, lupe fiasco, the game, the all dirty south movement.

do you realize the rappers in the last group are just as old as the ones in the first group you named you idiot. its a shame that the rap audience is the only ones that are concerned with the age of the performers. i guess when your favrites get older you gonna drop em and not support them any more. wow niggas like you is what really killed hip hop in the first place. yes fake ass nigga just like YOU. get my drift.

Actually if it wasnt for the South Hip Hop wuda been dead a long time ago…Even Though u mite look at someone say Soulja Boy and be like “he is the slayer of all that is hip hop” its actually the opposite he provided entertainment…and thats all this it is for us…TI-Paper Trail My Life Ur Entertainment..ya….thinkin about it who, on the mainstream, has been holdin it down for the North besides the usuals….The south has been keepin Hip Hops Heart beatin, barely, but its still beating
