Busta Rhymes Plans To Cure The Ailing Music Industry WIth "Chemo"
by on November 24th, 2009
As Busta Rhymes gets ready to release his 9th studio album, he sits down with Billboard to discuss the album, the ailing music industry and how he will help revive the game with Chemo.
"I called the album 'The Chemo' because it seems like the industry and music overall is dying slowly. The cancer that's stricken the business is killing the music, not only from a business standpoint, but also the value of the content and the creativity behind it. I just want to start the first stage of chemotherapy treatment that needs to take place and hopefully inspire others to do their part and contribute to different stages of the cure."
Buss also stated that he still has hope for the rap game, and was happy to see artists like Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Jadakiss put in work this year and release good music to help shift the state of the ailing industry.
Earlier this year, through his blog, Busta broke down the reasoning behind his upcoming album title.
"We're coming to kill the cancer in music. I ain't trying to offend anybody... We gotta re-establish the understanding that the perspective of Hip Hop is to make music that always felt undeniable and unprecedented and we set a standard. And we always made sure we supplied the demand of being the ultimate cutting-edge form of entertainment that we always have and will always be. We always did a good job at doing that"
Diddy, Chris Brown and Wyclef Jean are all set for guest appearances on Busta’s 2010 release.

“Ha-cha-cha-cha-cha-cha!”
lol
Dr Dre wouldnt be too bad either and Eminem as well.
Just how i feel, other than that, BUSSA BUSS BITCHES!
He’s trying to pull a Nas (Hip Hop is Dead) and get people talking how he’ll “revive” it.
Just make good music. Don’t focus on the “state of hip-hop”, that’s lame.
busta is talented hands down what he says in his rhymes is more like what a teacher would tell there students but hiphop has gotten soft and now its cool to be gay and cool be a nerd. Gangsta raps last draw of hope was 50cents get rich or die trying b4 50 cent it was biggie and 2pac so gangsta rap is 1 of many elements in hiphop now we got new things being introduced like dirty south and autotunes and this rap and rock N roll shit. I think what busta was tryna say is money has gotten the best of music ppl sold them selves hiphop got waterd down and now everyone jus hoping on other ppl ish jus because of sales hiphop will never be the same……
