Busta Rhymes Plans To Cure The Ailing Music Industry WIth "Chemo"

"I called the album 'The Chemo' because it seems like the industry and music overall is dying slowly. The cancer that's stricken the business is killing the music, not only from a business standpoint, but also the value of the content and the creativity behind it. I just want to start the first stage of chemotherapy treatment that needs to take place and hopefully inspire others to do their part and contribute to different stages of the cure."

Buss also stated that he still has hope for the rap game, and was happy to see artists like Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Jadakiss put in work this year and release good music to help shift the state of the ailing industry.

Earlier this year, through his blog, Busta broke down the reasoning behind his upcoming album title.

"We're coming to kill the cancer in music. I ain't trying to offend anybody... We gotta re-establish the understanding that the perspective of Hip Hop is to make music that always felt undeniable and unprecedented and we set a standard. And we always made sure we supplied the demand of being the ultimate cutting-edge form of entertainment that we always have and will always be. We always did a good job at doing that"

Diddy, Chris Brown and Wyclef Jean are all set for guest appearances on Busta’s 2010 release.

yo wayne fell off. i dont mean to hate but because he got rich he dont need to rap no more, which sucks cause his old music (before carter 3) was good. I think if he gets mannie fresh back he’ll be better but still there is a cancer in this hip hop that needs to be cured. These new studio gangsters out there dont compare to hip hop from a couple years ago. They turned hip hop into some thing false. All of a sudden everybody want “swagger”. Its cause these rappers is rich and aint hungry no more. Eazy, Dre, Eminem, Nas, Jay, Big, Pac, they were all hungry for it cause they had nothing else, no tight jeans hanging halfway off their ass. @ Second Son yeah bra tha Game is dead remember how easy it was to go platnium and how entire labels would run the table there are no more Death Row’s ,Bad Boy’s(not really),No Limit’s ,etc however Rocafella and Cash Money are barely hangin in there for obvious reasons ,Hell every album Cube put out in he 90’s went platnium but since the turn of the century he can’t brake gold. So yeah i agree with u fully accept it’s not just hip hop ALL music is dead ever since people discovered how to download music and movies (Why Pay)why would anybody buy a DvD when they can watch and download the same movie online for free? It’s why the entire entertainment business is in a slum (In my opinion forever) .So some rappers will never go platnium again,(sorry 50 it’s over bra) some don’t have anything to worry about because they was never going to sell a milli to begin with,Yeah Hip Ho is Dead and Gone (Well atleast the album sales because the music itself will live forever)!!!!!
