The MTV Video Music Awards were pretty lame this year. So here's video of the three best parts.
I know most of you think Kanye invading the stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech was the highlight of the night. But to me, Jay-Z shooshing Lil Mama off the stage after her surprise jump in was entirely too hilarious.
And here it is, the moment everyone's ranting about. Kanye making a 16 year old girl almost break down and cry.

So rewind your Tivo and pay attention to the look of shock on Eminem’s face when he was awarded Rap Video of the Year. He, like the rest of would need a calculator to add up all of the rap videos that were better then “We Made You”. And well, Eminem just so happens to be MTV’s former TRL poster child. I know that I’m not being unreasonable here. Let’s all ask ourselves why the hell Pink was asked to perform? She hasn’t been musically relevant since 2002 but she, like Eminem is another one of MTV Universities teachers pets.
So let’s excuse the fact that Britney’s “Womanizer” was nominated for Video of the Year and Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” wasn’t. Now take your common sense over to YouTube and compare the view counts of each video. When you’re done, feel free to go to Soundscan’s website and compare the success of the two songs.
In closing I simply ask that we all start opening our eyes up to what’s going on. As successful as Kanye West is: for someone like him to stand up on a show as popular as the VMAs on a network as famous as MTV, we should thank him for finally voicing what many others have been feeling like this entire time. However, we should comdemn him for behaving in such a manner.
And to Viacom, stop playing favorites and start being honest, like the Grammy’s for example. If you’ve ever wondered why your Moon Man will never mean as much to an artist as a Grammy, Taylor Swift’s nod for Best Female Video of the Year over Beyonce, who was awarded Best Video of the Year is a perfect example.

Yes, Kanye was wrong for “the way” he went about it. But the fact of the matter is, MTV plays off of their favorite young white stars. And Kanye put that shit on blast.
Cuz there is NOOOOOOO way that Taylor Swift was better qualified to win that award over ANY of the other nominees for that award.(Cmon really tho, Lady Gaga, Beyonce! Any of these girls could’ve won that EASILY.)
Especially since the numbers don’t reflect Taylor Swift beating either one of them. Yeah, he stole her shine, but did she deserve it? and didn’t she STILL get the award.
Overly emotional people wanna talk about “the moment” and how that will never come again, and how he took that. Boo-fucking-hoo, stop crying about the shit.
I can’t support that he did that, cuz ultimately it was wrong. In the same light, I respect him for always putting shit on blast that other people are afraid to say for the sake of thier “image”.(cuz alot of people lack the balls to do half the shit he does.)
