somerville——you don’t hear this type of shit on no one else album review. When Nas last album dropped you probably didnt see one comment someone saying “damn no Jay”…..Eminem album you don’t hear “where the joint with Jay”.

i was gonna complain about no lil wayne appearences, but then i remembered that he ghost wrote the whole album, a guest appearence would be overkill!

personally as a Jay-z fan i feel like he has to many samples on this album……….but hey still gonna e a great album.

Before i already seen thew track list i knew Kayne was going to be all over this album production/creative wise and I’m definitively right.

reading the comments even though I’m also a Nas fan i don’t buy jay-z albums because of Nas or anyone else for that matter i buy for for the cover artist.
even though i would like to hear songs with the two of the greatest rappers ever i remember that a couple years ago they hated each other.

its the king

I really want to hear that track with Jeezy. prolly will be the sleeper hit on the album. also that Swizz Beatz production better be KNOCKIN! Swizzy has let me down as of late.

I’m still mad there wasn’t any Just Blaze production on here… What’s Jay without Blaze? Smh.. There were more producers on here than I thought there was gunna be.. Overall the production tip will be hot, and I know Jay won’t let the beats go to waste… I’m lookin’ forward to this.

Seems like the production looks set
Jay is never rapping on a bullshit beat
the track wit jeezy looks tight the Incredibles (who do alot of work on Rick Ross albums) have the sickest beats.
and the track with drake looks to good too gud since timbaland produced it.
I dont know, too many features could hurt the album but so far so good

He’s a UK producer. I think he usually does more club/techno type of beats, so expect something different on that one.

this is gonna be very nice album. i don’t get how most people don’t like American Gangster, i think its one of his best albums!

For sure, it wasn’t a classic, but it was damn close. Every song except I Know is still on repeat.

me personally as a fan i think jay is looking for a more diverse and up to date crowd bcuz on his last he catered to one specific crowd “American Gangster” that was more for the hustlers and ppl who could relate to that type of activity, “Kingdom Come” that was more for the adult crowd a lot of the rhymes probably went over ppl heads but their still dbl platinum albums…with these features on this album Hov can’t go wrong he already told us “hes not a business man”.. “Hes a business..man”…

….Doesn’t look too good. I won’t judge it till I hear it though.

Jay-Z’s best albums are when he doesn’t have many guest appearences…so I’m not really feeling that. And where is the best producer in the game???

JUST BLAZE?

Huge letdown if Guru not producing on this one. Without him the other blueprints wouldn’t be possible. And where is the other Roc producers at? Bink? Neo Da Matrix??

I trust Jay though I guess…

Peace!
replyReply | -1 props | propProp | trashTrash
mrscarecrow3 months ago
Guru is not a producer. He is a sound engineer affiliated with the roc. But yeah, i agree with the whole Just Blaze thing, him and hov make absolute fire.

But…bink and neo da matrix? I always thought they were kind of mediocre as producers, especially neo. Bink did some good shit on Bleek’s last album and Blueprint.

This looks really, really dope. Album of the year for sure. Good to see jay hookin up with timbo again, its been too long. Those two make fire. Kanye’s always a good look on the beats too, and the guest features look solid. Especially like that he threw j.cole on a track.

And to the people wondering about Nas, he was probably supposed to be on the album, but dude is going through some major shit with his (ex?) wife at the moment… So i wouldnt be surprised if he was too busy.
