[Blog] Are Rappers Dumb, Dull, And Lazy, Or Is It Just Me? Part 5
by on October 28th, 2009
Hello DS, after a brief hiatus, I have returned to the blogosphere to give input, which I always hope will be productive, informative and somewhat thought provoking.
Since the last time I published a blog in this series, many things have taken place in Hip Hop. Lil Wayne has received his Jail sentencing, Royce Da 5'9 put out his EP, Street Hop, Gucci Mane's popularity is slowly, but surely finding more and more popularity in the north and of course the usual Fu*k Jay-Z, he aint Sh*t statements have been made by various rappers. Some in particular who have no right at all to speak on such a topic. So to jump right into things, here is what's on the agenda for the day.
- 1. Wayne's Prison Sentencing
- 2. Rappers Knowing how to stay in their lane
- 3. Check It Out
Lets first start off with the man that many of you fans call your favorite rapper, Lil Wayne. Wayne over the last 7 years has become not only one of the most popular rappers in the game, but has garnered numerous cosigns from rappers of all generations as the best rapper currently out right now. So it came to many as a very big blow when we reported late last week that the New Orleans rapper would be serving a year in prison for gun charges. Upon hearing the news several artist in the game responded to the news, upset and confused as to how a person as good as Wayne could receive jail time.
DJ Khaled called him his brother and talked about how many people he has helped in. While Juelz Santana proclaimed that the police unfairly targeted him and that he didn't deserve to go to jail. Fans everywhere reacted with just as much hurt and anger, confused as to how someone like Wayne could face prison time and even crying out conspiracy...
Call me wrong but am I the only one that does not feel sorry for Lil Wayne? I mean seriously, he had a gun in his tour bus. The cops came into his tour bus and found a gun, no one would claim the gun as theirs, so they arrested the owner of the bus. Guess what? That's what happens in the real world. He got what he deserved. Then you have the idiot rappers who said that the police unfairly targeted him. The man raps about selling drugs, killing people and having gang affiliation. What kind of attention do you think someone who alledgedly does these things going to get? Feeling sorry for Wayne is like feeling sorry for a crack head who overdosed on crack! What did you think was going to happen?
Then you have the rappers who dont know how to stay in their lane. Why is Gucci Mane and Souja Boy saying anything about Jay Z? Their not even in the service lane of the track that he is riding in. Why say anything at all? Just play your position and do your thing. ( but I cant front the Burrprint goes hard on the speakers).
And now for my last topic. I want all of you fans of Defsounds.com, who also like to support up and coming artist, to support my boy Ejay and his radio show wireradio. Its a web radio show that comes on every Wednesday night from 9:00pm-11:00pm. You can stream the show from www.wire247.ning.com or www.wireradio247.com. lmao, sound like a white boi tryin to fit in, what the hell does “goes hard on the speakers” mean ?
i think what u meant to say (had u ever went to school) was – “Gucci manes music sounds loud and vibrant when played on my sound system and i will not lie about it.” but of course not, its to hard to wrap ur mind around the english language, so tired of ppl tryin to talk like ghetto bums.
