It seems as if the entire Hip Hop industry has something to say about MTV's Hottest MC In The Game list. Cash Money Records co-founder, Baby b/k/a Birdman, has blasted Jay-Z for topping the top 10 list ahead of Lil Wayne.
"I don't think he a number one emcee in no kinda way," Baby said in an interview.
"Wayne the best he do the most and he make the most money. I dont think no nigga in the business make more money than us. How could you be the best if you don't make the best money, the most money and you don't do the most."
Lil Wayne, who made history by having one of the highest grossing tours of all times, recently came in 6th in Forbes Top 20 Hip Hop Cash Kings In 09 list.
According to Forbes, Wayne pulled in $18 million for the year, while Jay-Z topped the list at #1 once again with $35 million.
A seemingly unaware Birdman continue to defend Wayne's cash flow as #1 in the business.
"Lyrically, come on man be for real man can't nobody fuck with Wayne. And to me, if you number one and you aint getting no money it don't mean nothing. Who's making the most money.
That's number one to me. Fuck all that rap shit. Shit, y'all got cold rappers you never even heard and then you got niggas who really can't rap and making money. It's about who's making the most money to me.
I don't give a fuck about the rest of that shit."
