Banner Creates Fitness Application

Mississipi Rapper David Banner had a long and grueling journey that lead to his eventual weight loss. At one point he was so unhealthy that he was suffering from High Blood Pressure, and was not to far from diabetes as well as several other weight related diseseas. Through a stringent workout regime and dicipline, he has transformed himself and is a posterboy for healthy living, now he is taking his workout styles and eating habits and putting them on an application for Ipod and Iphone users.
The rapper has teamed up with the interactive fitness company PumpOne to create an application that will allow fans to benefit from from the same work outs that possibly helped Banner get into such great shape.
The application titled “David Banner’s Work Out or Die” will allow people who suscribe to the application to receive video's of the workouts and strategies that Banner uses, along with advice and tools from the rapper to help the app holders stay true to their new workout and diet.
Owners of the application will also be able to receive streaming content from the rapper for free, content that Banner can constantly update.
In an interview with allhiphop, Banner explained what inspired this idea for the application.
“People are really interested in how I lost weight, one of my friends that works at Apple said, ‘You need to take it to your people and stop talking about it. You’re helping people’s lives. That’s a way for you to continue that movement.’ And I decided to do it.”
Banner who in just three months dropped over 50 pounds after weighing 255 pounds in 2008. As he say's his weight was begining to cause several health problems which could only be improved if he addressed his level of health. Before the weight loss he suffered from high blood pressure and sleep apnea the same thing that the late Pimp C had.
Banner has cited his weight loss for helping him and his doctor discover that his high blood pressure was actually something that was hereditary, which gave them the ability to taylor a plan that would allow him to stay healthy despite the ailment.
The weightloss application will be will be available in early 2010.
